“THIS IS THE REASON I DO THIS,” said RMEF board member and longtime Elk Foundation stalwart Bill Alexander, holding granddaughters Taylor (on his right) and Kylie in his arms. Alexander, who now chairs the board for the Torstenson Family Wildlife Center received the highest honor bestowed by the Elk Foundation, the Wallace Fennell Pate Wildlife Conservation Award, during the grand banquet. Named for the organization’s first chairman of the board, the Pate Award is given for exemplary volunteer service to the foundation, its members, mission and future.
