The Elk Foundation reaches the public through five media: our magazine, Bugle, Elk Country and the Hunt; our television show, Elk Country Journal; our website, www.elkfoundation.org; our volunteer newsletter, Wapiti; and public relations, including stories about us in newspapers and magazines, and on radio, television and others’ websites.

Articles and essays in Bugle and Wapiti inform our members and volunteers about elk natural history, habitat conservation, wildlife management and ethical hunting, and promote and celebrate our conservation education and hunting heritage programs. We communicate these same topics to a broader audience through Elk Country Journal, our website and public relations.

Sharing information is key to inspiring and maintaining an interest in the natural world, conservation and hunting. Media outreach allows us the latitude to convey broad or specific conservation education and hunting heritage messages either to a target audience or across the continent, helping to cultivate conservationists and hunters among all ages and backgrounds.
