The Elk Foundation has joined with Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) , a non-profit organization and museum based in Springfield, Missouri, to educate and inform people concerning the value of fish and wildlife, to help them appreciate our heritage of hunting and fishing, and to motivate their personal involvement in the conservation of our natural resources.
WOW aims to build a conservation website and distance-learning program that will consolidate the best resources of their facilities, those of their conservation partners such as the Elk Foundation, and innovative new content. WOW is designing a cutting-edge conservation education program and delivery system that will offer a one-stop-shop of wildlife, outdoor heritage, and conservation information. The information presented will be scientifically accurate, aligned with national science and curriculum standards and available at little or no cost. It will provide users with diverse and engaging strategies for helping teach and connect people of all ages to America’s wild world.
WOW’s website and distance learning program will provide a broad platform for us to inform people around the globe about elk and elk country, and spread our conservation and hunting messages far and wide.
