When Brayden Langley and his family saw the ad for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation- Daisy video essay contest on the RMEF Web site, they felt it was a great project for Brayden. He could try out his new video and animation software and work on his writing skills.
It turned out to be a very good project for Brayden, a 10 year old, home schooled 4th grader, from McMinnville, OR. Besides enjoying time on his computer he also enjoys elk calling. In 2008, Brayden won several elk calling contests in the youth divisions. He plans on competing in the World Elk Calling Championships this year at the RMEF Elk Camp in Fort Worth, Texas, March 5 – 8, 2009.
Brayden, along with his dad Bryan will receive airfare, lodging and registration to attend this year’s RMEF Elk Camp & Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Expo in Fort Worth, Texas. Brayden will also receive a Daisy Red Ryder Airgun and a Cabela’s gift card.
