The Elk Foundation's mode of operation can be explained in a single word: partnerships. We are proud of our reputation as a voice of reason, authority and integrity, as a facilitator capable of bringing opposing viewpoints to the negotiating table and then mediating creative and beneficial solutions and forging partnerships for the future.
Since the beginning, we've embraced partnerships as a means to better conserve elk country. We work hand-in-hand with our partners to permanently protect land; determine which projects will most benefit elk and their habitat; develop wildlife and habitat management plans; restore elk herds; and educate people about the importance of conservation and hunting. Without them, we simply could not get the job done.
Our partners include: • local, state and federal government agencies • private landowners and local stakeholders • conservation organizations • tribal governments and agencies • foundations • forest products industry • oil and gas companies • mining companies • corporations
