Upper Lochsa Exchange - Protecting key elk country in Idaho

The RMEF has joined with the Forest Service and Western Pacific Timber to work towards an exchange that would allow the Forest service to block up 40,000 acres of checker boarded lands owned by Western Pacific Timber in the Upper Lochsa country in Idaho's Clearwater National Forest.

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is now available for review. The Forest Service proposed alternatives are presented in the Draft EIS with a 90 day public comment period ending on February 23, 2011.  More Info
