Ideas Worth Sharing: Donor Wall of Fame
By Dale A. Oien, Kitsap Chapter Chair
Considering all the work it takes to put on a big game banquet, volunteers are always looking for ways to simplify their efforts. Here’s an idea:
Before the event, have the committee prepare the letters of appreciation to its donors. Then at the banquet site, set aside space somewhere that’s visible to display them.
This “Wall of Fame” accomplishes two things: 1) every donor and everyone else attending the banquet sees the thank you, and 2) committee members don’t have to run down all the donors during the banquet to give them their letters. Instead, the donors themselves can just grab them from the wall when they leave the event.
