Join us for Elk Camp 2018!
Celebrate conservation in the sunny Southwest this year; Elk Camp will be held in Chandler, Arizona, on March 15-18, 2018. Registration and the hotel room block are open now.
“There’s nothing like the energy and enthusiasm generated by our members and volunteers at Elk Camp,” says David Allen, RMEF president and CEO. “We are excited to get together in Arizona to celebrate our conservation mission and milestones.”
The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass will host this year’s event. As in past gatherings, RMEF will celebrate its accomplishments during Volunteer Fun Night. Admission to Volunteer Fun Night is free, and there will be special guest entertainment to cap off the evening. Thursday and Friday evening events will both feature an auction. Conservation icon Shane Mahoney will present a keynote address on Thursday, and the night will also include an exclusive premiere of Jason Matzinger’s new film Both Sides of the Fence #PrivateOrPublic, as well as screenings of new Elk Network Original productions. Friday evening’s entertainment will feature a guitar pull hosted by country music artist Chuck Wicks, with special guest Glen Templeton and another country music artist.
Elk Camp will also offer unique Taste of Arizona events this year. Watch a Major League Baseball spring training game; on Friday, the Las Angeles Angels take on the Colorado Rockies, and it’s the Oakland A’s versus the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. Explore the Sonoran Desert on the desert jeep tour, or take in the arts, shops and history of downtown Scottsdale on the Old Town Scottsdale Excursion. In your down time, you can play golf on nearby championship courses or take part in other onsite activities such as boating, horseback riding or enjoying a meal at Arizona’s only five-star restaurant.
