Professional Bull Riders Spur on RMEF Banquets
A Las Vegas experience is being sold through RMEF banquets, and I bet you didn’t even know. Even more exciting is if you look at the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) packages just like you do a sculpture, gun or home furnishing for your live auction. PBR packages are at their height of entertainment and going fast.
Last year RMEF chapters sold 202 packages depleting our complete inventory by June. These packages sold for a gross average of $2,188. At a cost of $900 to the chapters, this means the average net was $1,288 with a net-to-gross efficiency of 58 percent!
“These are by far one of our best performing pieces of merchandise at our events and we sold them across the country,” said Kirk Murphy, Region Two RMEF vice president of Operations. “The total program brought in more than $130,000 in net proceeds to RMEF in 2014.”
The packages are again flying off the shelf in 2015 so we encourage chapters to grab them while they last.
“These really do provide a Las Vegas experience for anyone who purchases one,” said Murphy.
We have a large group of individuals who purchase a package every year because they cannot get enough. The packages are for two people and include five days of world championship bull riding, lodging at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, daily VIP receptions with access to the world’s best bull riders, Calcuttas, auctions, luncheons and more. Most attendees come for the entire event, while some arrive earlier and some even come later. Even better, the PBR World Championships don’t start until 6 p.m. and are done by 9 p.m. so as an attendee you’re free to enjoy the Vegas night life and have the entire day to see the sites.
