RMEF’s Third Party Whistleblower Hotline: Call to Report Policy Violations
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is an organization with strong values of responsibility and integrity. It is the intent of RMEF that employees and representatives of RMEF practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our job duties and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Our written policies and procedures contain general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics.
RMEF is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of policies or procedures have occurred.
In situations where you prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, you are encouraged to use a reporting hotline, hosted by a third party provider, NAVEX Global’s EthicsPoint. You are encouraged to submit reports relating to violations stated in our written policies and procedures. This hotline applies to matters related to RMEF’s business and does not relate to private acts of an individual when such acts are not connected to the business of RMEF.
Use EthicsPoint to report:
• Theft, fraud or any other forms of dishonesty
• Harassment or discrimination
• Accounting or financial irregularities
• On-the-job drug or alcohol abuse
• Violence or threatening behavior
• Violations of laws, regulations, policies or procedures
The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.
To access the reporting system, use the following links: rmef.org/ContactUs or elklink.org, and click “RMEF’s Third Party Whistleblower Hotline.” You simply log on to the EthicsPoint website and fill in important information fields regarding the nature of your question or report.
If you opt to call instead, dial the hotline number—(855) 562-5983— to speak with a live operator, who will take those questions.
Calls are toll-free, and both methods are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Regardless which method you choose, EthicsPoint will prepare a report and forward it to the appropriate person in our organization for review and, if necessary, investigation.
You may provide your name and contact information if you wish, but in most cases it is not necessary. Instead of identifying you by name, EthicsPoint will assign you a report number, a PIN and a contact date. If you think of something else or additional events occur after you’ve completed your initial report, you can call or log back in with your report number and PIN. If we need additional information from you to resolve your report, EthicsPoint will ask for it then.
