| Three days prior to the opening of the 2008 Arizona archery season, hunter Phil Brailsford and hunting partner Rod Miskin located this bull. For the next three days they observed the bull from a distance both morning and night. Then on opening day, just prior to sun down Phil and Rod were able to sneak within 150 yards of the big bull. Rod set up behind Phil and began cow calling. The big bull responded by running directly towards Rod. The bull stopped to bugle at Rod, unaware that Phil was less than 25 yards away. At that point, Phil was able to make a broadside shot on this magnificent bull. This bull scores 414 1/8 gross and nets a whopping 410 Pope and Young points, making it the number 10 all-time non-typical bull to ever be harvested with a bow and arrow. | |
