Hunting The TWC
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Torstenson Wildlife Center (TWC) in west central New Mexico offers a number of big game hunts. Income generated from these hunts is essential to help with conservation efforts on the ranch.
World-Class Hunting
TWC is renowned for its trophy-class elk, mule deer, and antelope, attracting film crews from Real-Tree Outdoors and Elk Chronicles. Since 2000, the TWC has produced more than 16 bulls that eclipsed the coveted 400 SCI-mark. With quality habitat and forage, this is becoming the norm.
Annually we offer the following hunts on the ranch:
- Mature bull elk archery hunts
- Mature bull elk muzzleloader hunts
- Antlerless elk archery or muzzleloader hunts
- Mule deer muzzleloader hunts
- Mule deer rifle hunts
- Antelope rifle hunts
- Mountain lion hunts
With spectacular landscapes and gorgeous weather, our September archery hunts put you in the middle of world-class bugling bulls. From late October to December, our muzzleloader elk hunts are second to none with a 75% success rate for 350+ bulls.
Hunts are as strenuous as our hunters want to make them with manageable terrain and 6,800 foot average elevation. Hunters enjoy one-on-one guided hunts during the day followed by a good night’s sleep in our comfortable lodge each night. Our cooks see to it that you never go hungry!
TWC’s primary hunting season runs from early September to late January with lion hunts available through March. Hunts are generally booked one or two years in advance so call today and get your name on the list.
The Torstenson Wildlife Center covers 135,000 acres and is located along U.S. 60 West in west-central New Mexico.
