Rugged terrain and abundant habitat support large predators like mountain lions. As part of TWC’s predator management plan, mountain lion hunts are available November to March with the best hunting in February when there is good snow cover for tracking. In order to maintain a regulated population of lions, most hunts offered are for female lions. We have staff houndsmen to guide hunters on one of the most unique high-desert lion safaris available anywhere. Several of our guests have purchased a lion hunt as an add-on to their elk or deer hunts.
