Did you know that your donation of cash, a Sponsor or Life Membership, volunteer hours or auction item purchases (above fair market value) can be increased or even doubled in just two easy steps? It's true -- if you work for a company that has a matching gift program.
Many employers will match that donation, in most cases dollar for dollar.
Just contact your personnel office for the correct application form and returns the completed application to the Elk Foundation for processing. It’s that easy!
Matching Gifts that can be applied to the Elk Foundation:
- Cash Donations (including Habitat Partnership gifts)
- Sponsor and Life Memberships (tax-deductible portion)
- Auction Item Purchases (that exceed fair-market value)
- Volunteer Hours
How do I get involved?
Several hundred companies participate in the Employer Matching Gift Program. Contact your local personnel office to see if your company participates in this program. If your company does not participate, ask your personnel office, your local Elk Foundation field director, or Elk Foundation headquarters for more information on how to get a matching gift program started. If your company is not on the list below, they still might match gifts to the Elk Foundation.
What benefits are received by companies that participate in this program?
This program helps boost employee morale and build corporate image. Participating companies get an opportunity to do something beneficial for the wildlife and habitat that mean so much to their employees. Although companies are not eligible for Habitat Partnerships through this program, they may still become a Habitat Partner through the Habitat Partner Program.
