Elk Network: There’s an App for That

MISSOULA, Mont.—The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s online digital platform, the Elk Network, is now available as an app.

“Approximately 77 percent of Americans own a smartphone and elk hunters certainly rank among them,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “We designed the Elk Network to be mobile-first and mobile-friendly. The new Elk Network app is a logical step and easier way for users to keep up to date on all things elk, elk hunting and elk country.”

The app features highly visual and informational content updated on a daily basis. It also allows users to receive alert notifications as posts are made.

Its nine different channels include elk hunting tips and gear, recipes, RMEF’s conservation work, issues and advocacy, entire episodes from past seasons of RMEF Team Elk, other original productions and the opportunity for hunters to share their stories, photos and videos.

“Five months after its launch, the Elk Network already rolled over one million page views. We have received great feedback so far and aim to only improve interaction on the network as we go forward,” added Decker.

The Elk Network app is available on the App Store or Google Play.
