The mission of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat. Since 1984, we have protected and enhanced over 5 million acres of wildlife habitat. We also support conservation education programs and help restore wild elk herds. Along the way, we have helped open access to nearly half a million acres for public hunting and other recreation.

2009 marks the 25th anniversary of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. During this time the elk population has doubled due in part to the successful conservation efforts put forth by RMEF volunteers. We need you help to keep up the good work! If you would like information on volunteering with the Blue Ridge Chapter or RMEF in general contact Ben Cook at 540-774-4018.
