More than 500 Elk Foundation chapters across the country drove home their commitment to conserving elk country with a record-breaking fundraising year in 2007. Chapters held 699 events and raised a net revenue of just over $15 million, setting a new record for chapter fundraising! This included $9,776,000 in event net (auctions, raffles, drawings, meals, etc), $3,071,000 in membership net and $2,154,000 in donations.
"Each and every RMEF volunteer should take great pride in their collective success on behalf of the foundation's mission," says Steve Decker, RMEF director of field programs.
Congratulations to all RMEF chapters on a record-book 2007, and a special thank you to all Outstanding Chapter Award winners!
