The British Columbia Conservation Officer Service is seeking the person(s) responsible for poaching five elk in two separate incidents.

The first poaching involved three Roosevelt elk in late March or early April 2020. It happened along the northern shore of Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island about 75 miles southwest of Vancouver. The second incident involving two Roosevelt elk took place the first week of April in the small town of Woss approximately 220 miles to the north.

For 2020, Remington partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to increase the visibility of poaching incidents in an effort to reduce poaching nationwide.
