Elk NetworkRMEF Activities Abound at Elkfest

General | May 19, 2017

Plain and simple, Elkfest is one of the most popular events every year in Jackson, Wyoming. 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the Boy Scout Elk Antler Auction. Young scouts already scoured the nearby National Elk Refuge, gathered antlers and will auction them off with proceeds to benefit the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Jackson District Boy Scouts of America.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will continue to play a strong supporting role. RMEF’s Great Elk Tour will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. RMEF staffers will host casino games and a silent auction at 4:30 p.m. The night is capped off with the Jackson Hole Chapter’s annual big game banquet.

Elkfest takes place Saturday, May 20 in downtown Jackson Hole’s Town Square.
