Elk NetworkHunters Helping the Hungry in Nebraska

Whether with friends or family, hunters have always been good at sharing the harvest. In many states, hunters are also helping those in need. In Nebraska, the Hunters Helping the Hungry program is a way for hunters to donate whole field-dressed deer. They can also make tax-deductible cash contributions.

Nebraska hunters provided more than 650,000 meals since the program launched in 2012. However, due to the program’s popularity the costs are growing faster than donations to help pay for it.
