Elk NetworkBadlands Vario Pack Ready For Any Elk Hunting Challenge

About the only constant in hunting elk out west is that nothing is constant. Changing terrain, weather and the ever-elusive wapiti that call this region home force even the most experienced hunter to have to change plans. The last thing you should be thinking about is which or how many packs to bring along.

It’s critical that your gear is as flexible and variable as the areas you hunt. That’s why Badlands designed its Vario Pack System to be the only pack you’ll ever need.

Out west, a day-long hike into the backcountry for the week may lead to a 15-minute climb to a nearby outcropping, a calf-burning run and gun up and down the hills, or an all-day spot and stalk from atop a peak. You need a pack that can be reconfigured in the field for that day’s task.

At the core of the Vario System is a lightweight, magnesium alloy frame. From this rock-solid anchor, a variety of packs and attachment systems allow the Vario to be set up in minutes for the specific needs of the day.

A molded memory foam suspension fits the Vario to the human back, and is ventilated to keep you cool. Its built-in blaze orange meat shelf can support more than 200 pounds of game, while a detachable ultralight Batwing Compression System secures even more gear.

Available in two sizes to fit almost anyone’s torso, the Vario Frame is the heart of the system.

From there, the sky is the limit to what the Vario can do. From the small, light Day Pack to packs of 3,300, 5,000 and 6,500 cubic inch capacity, the Vario System can be set up for any hunt, anywhere.
