All Pursuit knives features 420 H C steel, which is Buck’s standard blade material. It approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels.
This, along with Buck’s exclusive heat-treat process, creates a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength. Plus, it’s easy to resharpen.
Nearly every Pursuit features a drop point blade, which is a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning.
