The 4-H is not just about livestock, citizenship and agricultural-related activities. It also provides a safe and positive environment for boys and girls age 8-18 to learn about shooting and the shooting sports.

According to Shoot ON, more than 300,000 youth are taught the joy of shooting sports every year. Disciplines include archery, air rifle, small bore and shot gun. Additionally, more than 46,000 adults donate thousands of hours to educate and offer assistance with the shooting activities.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has provided funding for many camps and organizations such as the 4-H that promote safe, ethical and fun shooting experiences.
