Whereas S30V steel offers incredible edge retention, S35VN keeps those same edge-retention qualities and allows the edge to sharpen easier in the field—meaning you’ll should only need one knife for your elk, from beginning to end. In addition, each blade is cryogenically treated, which means the steel is frozen to hundreds of degrees below zero. The process helps the knife keep its edge. Except gut hook versions, Pro Pursuit knives feature a drop point blade, which is a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning.
