The Idaho Department of Fish and Game wants to know what you may know about the poaching of a bull elk that took place in extreme southeast Idaho.

Authorities say it happened in St Charles Canyon located in Bear Lake County in early January about halfway from the St Charles Campground and the Cache National Forest sign. The perpetrators removed the animal’s quarters as well as it antlers.

There had been no bull elk hunt in Game Management Unit 78 for several weeks although a muzzleloader cow hunt ended on December 31.
