Elk NetworkMentor Hunter Group Backed by RMEF Grant

General | June 7, 2019

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s conservation mission is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. With that in mind, RMEF recently presented a $50,000 grant to the First Hunt Foundation (FHF).

Based in Kamiah, Idaho, but active in 16 different states, FHF maintains that mentor-based hunting experiences benefit hunting heritage and will also better serve conservation and habitat management.

FHF used its RMEF support to leverage an additional $16,000 from the National Shooting Sports Foundation for its program.
