Elk NetworkOregon Volunteers Clear the Way, Lay Down 22 Miles of Fence

Conservation | November 1, 2017

Neither snow nor rain nor sleet nor wind could stop some hearty and dedicated volunteers from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Pendleton Chapter from clearing the way for elk and other wildlife in Oregon. They teamed up with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to lay down 22 miles of fence to make it easier for elk, deer and other critters to make their way across the landscape.

If that wasn’t enough, they also fought off the elements by building the “bucks” for a buck and pole Aspen enclosure fence project to be continued this spring and wrapped up later in 2018.

Way to get ‘er done!
