Many moons have passed since RMEF made any major changes to our membership categories. But for 2021 we are rolling out a bevy of new options and levels—as well as new rewards for both members and elk country.
While RMEF’s basic $35 Supporting membership and its top-shelf $1,500 Life membership will remain the same, we’ve revamped everything in between.
Headlining the launch is an innovative new discount program offering members valuable savings on gear from industry-leading RMEF partners like Browning, Eberlestock, Gerber, OnX, Traeger and others. These exclusive discounts begin at a new membership level called Team Elk. Annual dues are $50—just $15 more than a basic membership—and you’ll also get an RMEF Team Elk cap (a $19.95 value) free!
RMEF also re-branded its $100 membership level. It’s now called Sportsman. Upgrade to this level and receive a Gerber Randy Newberg EBS (Exchangeable Blade System) Knife valued at $60. Designed in partnership with Newberg, the popular TV personality and 30-year RMEF Life Member and volunteer, this great new knife is built to meet the specific needs of elk hunters in the backcountry. Also new is the Heritage membership, which is replacing the old Sponsor level. Annual dues are $50 less, set at $250, and upgraders receive an incredible set of Hybrid Light solar-lighting devices worth $139.95. And, of course, Heritage members also get all the new discounts on gear.
RMEF decided to retire its old Sponsor membership in part because the plaques and collectible coins that were a hallmark of this program had grown cost prohibitive. Over time, we discovered that most of those members didn’t give a flip about coins anyway. Some do, certainly, and RMEF has begun contacting Sponsor members with an offer to complete their plaque series in a cohesive way.
