Old bulls know it is time to find sanctuary. Survival is dependent upon finding these sanctuaries where hunters don’t want to go. Food is the secondary need. Find security near food. Post-rut is usually the most highly pressured season and coincides with most rifle seasons. This period is usually the last three weeks of October.
