Donate to RMEFWays To Give
There are a number of ways to support RMEF’s conservation mission. Find out which of our programs best matches up with your giving ability.
Ways to support RMEF's mission:
By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets.
If you are 70½ or older you, an IRA charitable rollover gift may lower the income and taxes from your IRA withdrawals and satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) while benefiting RMEF and our mission work.
Memorials and Honoraria
Create a memorial or honorarium to remember or honor your loved ones while helping to conserve and enhance vital elk habitat and continue our traditions.
Contributing a little each month through payroll deduction adds up to big benefits for wildlife at year's end. RMEF is a member of the Conservation and Preservation Charities of America which is a partner federation of America's Best Charities. Look for the RMEF listing in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or other workplace giving programs. Many employers will match your donation to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation if they have a matching gift program, in most cases dollar for dollar. Contact your company’s personnel office for the correct application form and return the completed application to RMEF for processing.
Many employers will match your cash donation, Sponsor or Life Membership, volunteer hours, or auction item purchases (above fair market value) to RMEF, in most cases dollar for dollar, if they have a matching gift program.
The principal from all gifts to the endowment is permanently invested. Up to 5 percent of the corpus will be used for mission accomplishment while the balance of the earnings will be reinvested. This will ensure the endowment continually grows. Contact us today to learn how to participate in this program.
Partners In Conservation Program
RMEF’s Partners In Conservation program recognizes businesses and individuals that participate in cause-related marketing programs and/or make contributions to RMEF in the form of merchandise. These contributions help RMEF conserve and enhance more habitat, pass on our hunting heritage and perpetuate our wildlife legacy.
RMEF’s Habitat Partner program recognizes donors who have reached a total cash contribution of $2,500 or more. RMEF Habitat Partners are driving the organization’s mission, helping to conserve critical habitat, restore elk to historic ranges, and pass on our hunting heritage to the next generation of sportsmen and conservationists. Become a Habitat Partner today!
The Habitat Council is comprised of RMEF supporters who have reached total cash contributions of $10,000 or above. The Habitat Council meets twice a year, including a scenic retreat with a project tour of our work, where members can observe how their investments are working for wildlife. An opportunity is provided to interact with the Board of Directors and executive staff, who present updates and insights into RMEF’s current status, issues impacting the organization, and our vision moving forward.
