The video dates back to 2015 but it remains a vivid reminder of what can and sometimes does happen in the wild. An elk herd sprints across the landscape and the animals, one by one, leap over a fence as they continue on their way.
Unfortunately a 7 x 6 bull elk gets caught on the fence, is flipped over upside down and eventually dies within minutes.
The man who took the video says he could not free it and suspects it died of a broken neck.
