Joining forces for a good cause is always a wonderful thing. For example, Hands of a Sportsman recently partnered with Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation volunteers in North Carolina to host a disabled hunt in Taylorville.
Property owners and hunters in the northwest part of the state opened their property to 32 disabled hunters. Not only that, but participants received both permission and the opportunity to hunt with a gun during the first day of archery season.
“Hands of a Sportsman’s not just fulfilling dreams but creating families,” said Brad Brame, father of
Tagan who shot a whitetail buck.
The heat was a bit stifling but in the end hunters took 21 deer. Participants came from New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
Hands of a Sportsman is a non-profit organization geared towards helping those less fortunate experience the outdoors again or for the first time.
