CHAPTER HIGHLIGHT
In the spirit of the first quarter newsletter, we had another brand-new chapter take off in tremendous fashion with their first banquet this past March. The Old Dominion Chapter in Woodstock, Va., put together an event that will set the tone for them for years to come.
New Regional Director of Virginia- Andy Fry helped set the tone and offer guidance. This chapter bought in and built a great plan for an exciting event. They set to work in their communities spreading the word and utilizing proven grassroots fundraising to fill their event. The result of those efforts speaks volumes with more than 200 people in attendance, a net revenue of $54,500 and a net-to-gross ratio of 61%. Focusing on well-built tables as well as tools used in their grassroots efforts, they raised $13,500 in Event Sponsorship dollars and more than $6,000 in cash donations.
This is quite the start for a new chapter and just a glimpse of the great work to come in Virginia. Congratulations to the Old Dominion Chapter on a great event that moves the needle for habitat in a big way.
