Elk NetworkBull Elk Poached in Utah

General | June 4, 2019

Just before Memorial Day weekend, someone illegally shot and killed a bull elk north of Mill Meadow Reservoir in central Utah. The animal was feeding in a meadow near the road when it was killed, and all the meat was left to waste. Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) conservation officers are seeking your help in identifying the person who killed the animal.

“We know someone has information related to the illegal killing of this animal, and we ask that they help us bring the responsible individual to justice,” said Eric Bond, DWR conservation officer. “Lawful hunters sometimes wait years to draw a permit and find acts like these senseless, wasteful and infuriating.”
