Elk NetworkDoe Freed from Tree Stump

General | August 22, 2018

A whitetail doe got stuck and then freed from a tree stump in Appleton, Wisconsin. Below is a post from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Facebook page:

This doe found herself between a rock and a “tree” place, but thanks to some quick thinking by Appleton residents, Todd and Rachel Miller, she was freed from the stump. To help further, the couple cut up the stump, which was located on their property, to ensure that it would not happen to another animal. Thank you, Todd and Rachel, for taking action and caring about Wisconsin wildlife.
