Elk NetworkGear 101 – Eberlestock Weapons Carry

Gear 101 | September 16, 2019

Eberlestock’s Team Elk pack is a bona fide workhorse. It carries everything from spotting scopes and sleeping bags to boned-out hindquarters. And the best part? It can easily carry your rifle and your bow, which frees up your hands for trekking poles, handlebars—whatever.

Attaching your weapon to the Team Elk pack is easy. Here’s how you do it.

To carry a bow, find and unzip the front compartment, flipping out the zippered end of the pocket. Here, you’ll place the bottom cam of the bow so it sits vertically in the pocket. To secure the top half of the bow to the pack, find the single vertical strap at the top of the pack. Simply feed the strap around the bow’s riser and attach. That’s it.

Carrying a rifle with the Team Elk pack is even easier. Unroll the internal scabbard, which tucks up under the pack when not in use. Unzip the scabbard entry across the top of the pack, and slide your rifle all the way down. With a couple of practice tries, you’ll be able to reach back and remove your rifle without taking off the pack thanks to the quickdraw system.

If you’re in the market for a hunting pack that truly can do it all in elk country, then test drive
