Authorities may target nearly two dozen people in a poaching case involving the killing of upwards of 100 animals.

“They were serial killers of another kind,” Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Deputy Chief Mike Cenci, told KIRO-TV. “I mean I don’t understand the psychology of these people, I never will. But I can tell you they didn’t care about wildlife resources. They certainly didn’t care about the law.”

The suspects took photos and videos of their outings that included the illegal use of hounds, spotlighting wildlife, killing wildlife out of season and leaving meat to waste.
