Elk NetworkOregon Offers Leftover Elk Tags

General | June 27, 2018

Didn’t draw that coveted Oregon elk tag? There is still another chance to avoid getting shut out but it may not be easy. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) has nearly 400 elk tags it will make available to the public.

The tags go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 1, 2018 and usually sell out in just minutes. For a realistic chance at obtaining one, ODFW suggests you be first or second in line at a point of sale agent before 10 a.m.

Leftover tags are not available online.

The tags are additional tags so you may purchase one even if you already drew a controlled hunt tag or if you plan to hunt general season for that hunt series.
